Tax Season 2010 and the Recovery

Well thankfully, 2009 and 2010 is over. It certainly appears that we are doing much better and consumer confidence is helping the recovery. In the collection business, we are experiencing a big improvement over the last two years with regard to payment trends. As an american and small business owner, I am still concerned high unemployment. The fact remains that many people in the 50 plus age bracket lost good jobs in 2009 and it will be very difficult for them to re-enter the market. Small companies can't afford us because of healthcare costs and large companies don't want to pay the big bucks when they have a large talent pool of younger college grads, MBA's, etc. My feeling is that my generation is eventually going to create more small businesses out of necessity. Look for many new businesses to be created in the next few years. The baby boomers can't afford to retire yet. What do you think?
